Cheerful Hands is a Hong Kong registered charity established in 2020. It provides sustainable living support in order to help individuals/families in-need in becoming self-sufficient, while encourages them to give back to the society through helping others as its mission.

What district does your operation cover?
We do not have a set district to serve as the individuals/families in-need comes from all over Hong Kong and our office and warehouse is located in Kowloon Bay.
How did Cheerful Hands start?
Cheerful Hands started in 2020 with a family visit to bring nutritious balanced foods to a single parent family. The visit reinforced our understanding that there are many individuals / families in-need who aim to be self-sufficient and be able to give back to the community when they can, but required some support until they are back on their feet, making us believe that “giving all and giving back” is key to promote a well-balanced community. We are registered in Hong Kong as an Article 88 charitable organization in 2020 debuting the first packing and warehouse operations.

Do you deliver directly to individual/families?
Cheerful Hands deliver directly to individual/families, this will ensure all food items are deliver in the best condition possible.
Where is your operating fund coming from?

What equipment you have in your warehouse?
Our warehouse is equipped with chiller and freezer storage to ensure that the food that needs temperature control is maintained in the best condition.
How do you ensure the food safety for all the food items you received from donation/purchase, during storage and delivery?
We work with a team of food safety and regulatory experts to ensure our operation flow is designed in such a way to fulfil all Hong Kong regulatory requirements and to ensure every step is monitored to ensure food safety throughout our operations. Getting Food Support
Am I eligible for receiving food support?
The application is open to everyone who fits in the criteria. Upon receipt of the food support application form and all the required supporting document, we will carry out review to assess your eligibility. We will contact you either through system (if apply online) or call you (if submit application in person) to advise you the outcome or request further information for checking within 1-2 weeks.
How can we receive food support?
To receive food support, you will need to fill in and submit the food support application form with all supporting documents for review using the following methods:
- Using link in our website to apply online
- Download our APP (IOS/Android) and apply through APP
- Contact one of our charities partners to submit application form in person and we will contact you accordingly
Can I choose the prefer date for food delivery?
Yes, you can fill in your prefer date for food delivery either using our food support application form or online application.
Donation
How do I donate to Cheerful Hands?
You can donate through our link in our website or APP (required registration for APP). Every $100 will provide 20 meals.
Is my donation tax deductible in Hong Kong?
Donations above HK$100 can be used for tax refund application; an electronic donation receipt will be automatically emailed to you once donation process completed.
How is my donation spent?
Your donation is mainly used for funding the continuity of providing nutritious balanced food and tutorial support for the individuals / families in-need and the associated administration costs for the operations. However, as we strive for “giving all” philosophy; we will keep our administration costs to the minimum and be very transparent on the performance by setting KPI which is available in our website and our financials section.
